2013 MV Agusta Brutale 1090, 1090 R and 1090 RR

In the new year 2013, MV Agusta has released three models in its Brutale 1090 lineup - the Brutale 1090 (standard), the Brutale 1090 R and the Brutale 1090 RR. Each model arrives with the inline four cylinder 1078cc powerplant, but two separate engine configurations are used for different horsepower and torque outputs. 

The Brutale 1090 lineup arrive with 1090cc of engine with Engine management system Magneti Marelli IAW 5SM ignition, injection integrated system with Mikuni throttle body, Four cylinder, 4 stroke, 16 valve, DOHC radial valve, and Transmission Cassette style; six speed, constant mesh. 

The 2013 Brutale 1090 models arrive with the usual composite trellis frame, which is composed of a high-strength tubular ALS steel front section. This is attached to a single-sided swingarm by two aluminum plates. The wheelbase on the 1090 RR remains 1438mm, though is shorter on the 1090 standard and 1090 R (1430mm). The bikes all have a 103.5 mm trail. 

Stopping the Brutale 1090 and 1090 R are dual 310mm Double floating disc with 310 mm (Ø 12.6 in.) diameter, with steel braking disc and aluminum flange Brembo Radial-type, monobloc with 4 pistons Ø 34 mm (Ø 1.34 in.), and 320mm on the 1090 RR. All three Brutale 1090 models feature a 210mm rear disc, and all calipers are four-piston front and rear. But the 1090 RR receives Brembo monoblock front calipers for maximum braking efficiency and weight reduction. Also arriving on each Brutale 1090 model is an eight-level traction control adjustment.
